NRDC sponsors the annual Hollywood Climate Summit, an annual call to action of the entertainment and media community to address the climate emergency. For its fourth year, the summit took place in June 2023, both in person and virtually to inspire and activate young entertainment professionals about climate change and how to integrate climate storytelling into their work.

As part of our annual partnership with Bonnaroo, NRDC’s digital activation engaged fans on the urgency of the climate crisis through digital content creation, on-site messaging, and calls to action. Through our partnership with Propeller, festival-goers were able to take climate action with NRDC for a chance to win upgraded artist experiences at Bonnaroo in June 2023.

NRDC participated for the 10th consecutive year in EXPO CHICAGO, featuring contemporary artists to inspire conversation about key environmental issues. The core exhibit was complemented by additional events and programming to engage the EXPO CHICAGO audience as well as the greater Chicago community.

NRDC’s Night of Comedy—which helps to raise funds for the organization’s mission-critical work—returned in 2022, and for the first time, the event was hosted on both coasts.

NRDC, Black List founder Franklin Leonard, and writer, professor, and social commentator Roxane Gay spoke at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival about the opportunities and challenges of climate representation across genres.

Our 2022 webinars and virtual meetings featured prominent guest speakers and elected officials, who discussed some of the most pressing environmental issues at a national and local levels.
