Zanagee Artis
Fossil Fuels Policy Advocate, Nature
Zanagee Artis is a founding member and executive director of Zero Hour and has worked in the youth climate movement advocating for the need to transition away from fossil fuels. At NRDC, Artis focuses on limiting new fossil fuel leasing and development on public lands and waters. He is outspoken about the climate crisis and was a co-host on a podcast for children about climate justice and co-authored A Kids Book About Climate Change. Prior to joining NRDC, Artis worked for Goldman Sachs in their financial crimes division. He holds a bachelor's degree in political science and environmental studies from Brown University. Artis is based in Washington, D.C.
