Laurie Geller helps to assure that NRDC publications meet the highest standards of scientific integrity and excellence. Prior to this role, she worked for almost 20 years with the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine, directing assessment studies and public engagement efforts related to climate change science and policy, including a strong emphasis on Arctic/Antarctic science. She also previously served as an AAAS Science Policy Fellow with the EPA Office of Atmospheric Programs, and as a program officer with the International Council for Science in Paris, France. Geller has a PhD in atmospheric chemistry from the University of Colorado. She is based in NRDC’s Washington D.C., office.
