Jackson Morris
Jackson Morris focuses on advancing policies at the state and regional levels to decarbonize the nation’s power sector. He works to accelerate the rapid deployment of clean technologies such as wind, solar, and battery storage, and demand side solutions such as energy efficiency and demand response, as well as the transmission infrastructure buildout that is essential to enable this transition. He and his team work with governors, legislators, state agencies, utility commissions, congressional delegations, and diverse coalition partners to craft, adopt, and implement the effective climate and clean energy solutions we need to address the greatest environmental challenge of our time. He also engages in coalition work related to improving wholesale market constructs in PJM, MISO, NYISO and ISO-NE to better align those markets with state decarbonization goals. Prior to joining NRDC, Morris served as director of strategic engagement for the Pace Energy and Climate Center at Pace University School of Law. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Duke University and a master's in environmental policy from Bard College. He is based in NRDC’s New York office.
