The Food Matters Beginner’s Guide
The Food Matters project partners with cities to achieve meaningful reductions in food waste through comprehensive policies and programs.
The NRDC Food Matters team has built a large suite of guides and tools designed to help cities chart a path toward reducing food waste. These tools include solutions for reducing food waste, ways to ensure healthier food makes it to people’s plates, strategies for communicating about new programs, and case studies of successful initiatives in partner cities.
The Beginner’s Guide introduces municipal policymakers, agency staff, and activists to the Food Matters project and helps them navigate these resources to identify the ones that will be most useful to each city’s unique circumstances.
