Alexandra Adams (she/her)
Alexandra Adams leads NRDC's Government Affairs team, including NRDC’s federal and regional government affairs work. She works to develop proactive strategies to secure environmental protections while addressing legislative threats. Adams previously served as senior director of NRDC’s federal affairs programs and legislative director of NRDC’s Nature program, working to secure historic climate legislation and coordinating NRDC’s strategy for preventing legislative threats to lands, oceans, water and wildlife. She also led NRDC’s offshore oil and gas development work and served as the Ocean division’s senior advocate in Washington, DC. Prior to joining NRDC, Adams held positions at national and regional conservation organizations focusing on climate change adaptation, endangered species, and water resources. She graduated from the University of Florida and received a master’s degree in environmental studies from Brown University. She is based in Washington, D.C.
